Tenuta Guado al Tasso si trova nella piccola e prestigiosa DOC di Bolgheri, sulla costa dell’Alta Maremma, a un centinaio di chilometri a sud-ovest di Firenze. Questa denominazione ha una storia relativamente breve (nasce nel 1994) ma vanta di una fama internazionale come nuovo punto di riferimento nel panorama enologico mondiale. Tenuta Guado al Tasso si estende su una superficie di circa 320 ettari vitati in una splendida piana circondata da colline conosciuta come “anfiteatro bolgherese” per la sua particolare conformazione. I vigneti di Guado al Tasso sono composti prevalentemente con uve di Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot e Vermentino. Godono di un clima mite per la vicina presenza del mare: le brezze costanti mitigano le calure estive e i rigori dell’inverno, puliscono il cielo e tengono alto l’indice di insolazione.

The Guado al Tasso estate is located in the small, but prestigious, Bolgheri DOC on the Maremma coast, approximately 100 kilometers (60 miles) to the southwest of the city of Florence. This appellation, created in 1994, has a relatively brief history, but can boast an international fame as a new reference point from the oenological viewpoint of the world. The Guado al Tasso estate covers an area of about 320 hectares (790 acres) planted with vines set in a beautiful plain encircled by rolling hillsides known as the Bolgheri Amphitheatre due to its particular shape. The vineyards of Guado al Tasso are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Vermentino. They enjoy a mild climate due to the nearby presence of the Mediterranean; the sea breezes regularly mitigate both summer heat and the rigors of winter, sweep the sky clean, and maintain a high degree of sunshine and solar warmth.
