Prime Minister Narendra Modi graces the opening ceremony of Donyi Polo Airport and dedicates the 600 MW Kameng Hydro Power Station to the nation.
Addressing the public at the event, PM said, "We have implemented such a work culture where we lay the foundation of a project and also inaugurate it." "We do not postpone work." he added.
PM says that be it culture or agriculture, commerce or connectivity, Northeast will be our first priority. It won't be any longer kept for later.
The Prime Minister further states that, in the year 2014, the government started a campaign ensuring electricity to every village. This campaign benefited many villages in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
"There were many villages here who had for the first time after independence benefited with electricity."
PM Modi also talks about the importance of bamboo plants in a state like Arunachal Pradesh where they are in abundance.
He says that due to previous laws, people of Arunachal Pradesh could not use these for the development of the state but now with the changes to the law, people can make useful use of it.
