Wang Xingxing, the founder of Unitree Robotics, recounted his entrepreneurial journey: From a young age, he was fascinated by technology. During his postgraduate studies, he created a quadruped robot that won an award in a competition, attracting attention within the robotics community. After graduating, he initially worked at DJI, but later resigned to start his own business after his robot received media coverage, leading to purchase inquiries and investment interest. In the early days of his startup, he slept on a sofa in a friend's living room for over a month. The company's first robot was named Laika Dog, a name inspired by Laika, the first living creature sent into space by the Soviet Union, symbolizing exploration of the unknown and innovation.

Regarding products, although quadruped robots were relatively new, the company commercialized them from its inception. Compared to Boston Dynamics, Unitree's products have distinct differences, with lower retail prices and an open underlying development environment. The company has achieved significant results in cost control and is expected to penetrate the mass market in the future.

From an industry perspective, quadruped robots have advantages and are expected to become a part of everyday life. Unitree Robotics is considered relatively advanced in China. Wang Xingxing admires entrepreneurs with a science and engineering background and hopes his company will become an outstanding technology enterprise, driving human technological progress. Although there have been many challenges during the entrepreneurial process, overall development has been smooth, and he believes that starting during the entrepreneurial boom was fortunate.
