The Ford GT40, sometimes referred to as the Ford GT40 Mk I, is a sports car from the American manufacturer Ford, 126 of which were produced between 1964 and 1968. The car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans on four successive occasions from 1966 to 1969. The name GT40 comes from the initials "GT" for the "Grand Touring" category, supplemented by the number "40" for its 40-inch (or 1.02 m) body height.
The model in this video is a superb replica of the GT40 chassis P/1001. It is piloted by Kennet Persson. It is likely that this car has parts that are used on genuine GT40s.
