RECREATIONAL DRONE RULES | What you NEED to know before RULES change in 2023

***Get ready, drone rules are about to change. ADVISORY CIRCULAR 91-57C was announced on 10/20/22 and we now see the future, and the future is a little bleak. Additionally, keep your eye on September 16, 2023 when, drones requiring registration will also need "REMOTE ID." This is when information relating to identify, location, and altitude of the drone and its control station or take-off location will be communicated. More on this in a future video. 2023 will be a challenging year for flying drones.

Getting a drone is exciting but flying it - for the first several times - is scary! Well, take some of the stress out of the experience by learning what you need to do legally, first!

Depending on which drone you get you may need to register it, you will need to take the TRUST test and if you intend on flying the drone for money (commercially) additional tests will be required. But that's not all, you need to know the FAA rules regarding height restrictions, where you can fly the drone and the manner in which you fly this little electronic device. This video covers all of this BUT in a much shorter video than other examples. I thought, let's cut out the fat and get right down to business so you can get your drone out flying, faster.
