Day 8: Myrtle Beach to Georgetown, SC – Beneteau 34’ You Wouldn’t Normally Boat in These Conditions! 😂
On Day 8 of our boating journey aboard the Beneteau 34’ Swift Trawler, we set off from Myrtle Beach, SC, to Georgetown, SC, and wow—what a day! These weren’t the typical boating conditions you'd choose to be in. Strong winds, choppy waters, and unpredictable weather turned what could have been a smooth ride into a thrilling (and somewhat challenging) adventure. But hey, sometimes you have to embrace the unpredictability of the water, right?
As we departed from Myrtle Beach, the waves quickly picked up, and we had to rely on the full capability of the Beneteau 34’. This boat has proven itself to be a sturdy companion throughout our trip, and today was no exception. The choppy waters and gusty winds tested our boating skills, but the Swift Trawler handled it like a champ.
Along the way, we navigated narrow waterways, passed through scenic marshes, and spotted a few dolphins that seemed unbothered by the wild conditions. Despite the rough seas, the beauty of South Carolina's coast still shined through, and we couldn’t help but marvel at the stunning views, even if they were from inside the cabin more than we would’ve liked.
