Post-Finasteride Syndrome - the group of adverse symptoms some men experience after taking finasteride - is something I’ve seen many patients experience over the years. Symptoms include low libido, erectile dysfunction, abnormal ejaculation, depression, and low energy. This is my warning to men considering finasteride and doctors treating them: post-finasteride syndrome is difficult to differentiate from other medical issues, but must be taken seriously! Not all men get post-finasteride syndrome, but I recommend other options for hair loss to my patients.
