Adult vaccinations, A, prevent ah deaths, they prevent hospitalization and also decrease the healthcare cost burden of the country. So, let us start with flu vaccines. Flu vaccines are something that all of us as adults should be taking every year. right around the fall season. So maybe from August to September would be the right season for all of us to take an annual flu shot and especially people who are elderly, are diabetics, who have asthma, COPD, all those conditions should mandatorily take flu vaccines. Then what are the other vaccines? So we should be taking hepatitis B vaccine, especially if we are prone for needle stick exposures. MMR vaccines and chickenpox vaccine because that also helps as you get older and you get chickenpox it can be a cosmetically disfiguring and can be fatal also if you are immunocompromised. So that is something that we can do away just by taking the vaccine and now we have pneumococcal vaccines. There are two kinds of vaccines which again if you have asthma you have COPD you have any immunocompromised state should be taking to prevent pneumococcal pneumonia. And there is a new vaccine for shingles which is called as the Shingrix vaccine which all adults over the age of 65 should be taking. So please do take your vaccine shots.
