Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy questioned NATO’s ability to defend Greenland, warning that Europe relies too heavily on the assumption that the alliance, led by the United States, will act in a crisis. He argued that symbolic troop deployments do not deter Russia or China and said Europe must build real military capacity and unified armed forces.
