Witches of the AI Apocalypse 🤖 ASMR Fantasy Witch Rescues, Cares for You & Offers You a Prophecy

Every Season of the Witch, it’s tradition to revisit the Salem Witch Trials to pay our respects to the wrongly accused not-witches & those actual factual witches who suffered persecution during the Witch Hunts & Witch Trials. The persecution of witches during the Salem Witch Trials was the culmination of thousands of years of ostracization & witch hunting by the traditional, original enemies of witches (typically clergy & monotheistic folk / non-pagans). The torture, trial & execution of suspected witches in Salem, Bamburg & across Europe are incomprehensible to us today, since witchcraft is no longer taboo. So, it may be tempting for practicing witches & ASMR fantasy witches to let their guard down & assume the danger has passed. As you will discover in this ASMR fantasy witch roleplay, a new enemy of the witches & witchcraft has arisen in the post Salem Witch Trials world (aside from the incorporated apothecaries so fond of filching & patenting potion formulas from creative commons-minded potioners). In this ASMR fantasy witch roleplay, you are living in the End Times, on the brink of the Apocalypse & have been the victim of the new brand of witch hunter: These Singulizers (scien-tists seeking to usher in the technological Singularity by acquiring the magic of the human essence) have attempted to turn you into a cyborg / automaton. Luckily, you have been rescued by a witch who has guarded the Prophecy of the Apocalypse of the Singularity & who shares some surprising information with you. Once your wounds have been treated, she will share with you the Prophecy of the Four Witches of the Apocalypse, a prophecy that describes the counterforce of specially selected witches sent to rescue human & witch kind from the Singularity & its siphoning of the magical essence (consciousness). This ASMR fantasy witch RP (obviously a work of fiction) is an intro vid in a series titled The Four Witches of the Apocalypse. Based on a re-interpretation of the Book of Revelation & the prophecy of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, it's intended to be playful in its expansion of existing witch tropes for this Season of the Witch. The jumping off point for this series was simply: "Aside from the clergy of the monotheistic faiths, who are some other potential enemies of witches in the 21st century?" This video touches on some of the history of witchcraft & alchemy (& their intersection), but is mostly fictionalized. I’m not a “luddite,” am not “anti - science “ & don’t have any strong feelings on the Singularity either way (esp. not any anxiety about its imminence). I simply thought it might be fun to link the Singularity to the subject of witchcraft & was inspired by @PattyDung to explore this topic. This video is also inspired by the fact that we now live in a world that our ancestors would experience as “enchanted,” “charmed,” & ruled by inexplicable, mind-boggling forms of magic. That’s definitely something we should appreciate & celebrate!

Speaking of celebrating, this week marked ISP’s 2 year anniversary as a channel! I am so grateful to every one of you who gave one of my videos a whirl. Thank you so much for participating in this little experiment!!! Knowing that faithful viewers come back every week has motivated me to learn more, work harder & experiment. I realize my style is not everyone’s cup of kombucha & my production value has been soooo low. And for these reasons, I am even more grateful that you stopped by (& some of you even stayed!). There’s a lot to critique in my videos, but thankfully all of you have been very patient, kind, encouraging & positive in your feedback. You are all very fascinating people & I’m thrilled that we’ve connected!

ASMR elements in this vid= up close personal attention, fixing you, good witch rescues you & treats your wounds, fabric sounds, page turning & some follow the light movements. These vid has plenty of "warts" bc I ran out of editing time: Despite having lived outside London for some years, I botch the posh English accent more than a few times! Also, I apologize for 3 unsmooth transitions, a sudden lighting change @20:00 (sun came up), imperfect coloring & lighting in spots---especially book & candle shots, 2nd half low volume (too quiet?), & too close-up parts (had to crop out part of the set) + no show&tell inside the box. I'm behind schedule for the Season of the Witch & made a tough decision to share this warts-n-all & move on to the next vids in the series. I usually try to chop or patch as many sound probs as possible. This time round, I left them in (passing cars, tummy gurgles) to preserve flow & avoid sound blips. Feel free to register your preference for smooth flow vs no intrusive sounds (it's a hot debate on reddit apparently).
