SAFETY MEASURES WHEN HANDLING LYE/MAKING LYE SOLUTION
1. Wear protective gear: gloves, goggles, long sleeves, and a nose mask.
2. Work in a well-ventilated area.
3. Add lye to water slowly, stirring gently.
4. Prevent it from coming in contact with your skin, but if it does, rinse under running water.
5. Store lye securely and label containers.
