Med calculations made easy with just 3 formulas. This will help you understand med calcs and help you pass your NREMT-P. Also good knowledge for drawing up medications in the field.
If you are interested in determining how many drops per second, first, write down "60" for 60 seconds (1min) and divide that by the number that you calculated as "gtts/min" for example:
If I completed a calculation and the answer was 15 gtts/min, I would then do 60/15 which will equal 4. This means I will deliver 1 drop every 4 seconds. Hope this helps!
