At the end of World War 2, the execution of Benito Mussolini had a huge effect on the conflict. Mussolini was shot by the side of a wall by Italian Partisans, and he was then dragged to Milan and was displayed in front of crowds of thousands. The display of these remains was brutal, and it was this that led another dictator to consider his demise.
