The Secret to Inking & Stamping on Velvet (It Actually Works)

Stamping on velvet (also called embossed velvet) is a beautiful fabric technique that uses heat to create a soft, permanent design right in the fibres of the fabric.

In today’s video, I’m sharing the method that worked best for me using supplies I already had on hand – including different types of stamps, several inks, and a household iron.

You’ll see:

➡️what type of velvet works best
➡️whether you need ink (or not)
➡️what iron setting to use
➡️how long to apply heat
➡️and a few variations I tested along the way

I also experimented with StazOn, Memento, Stampin’ Up! Classic dye inks, Versamark, and white craft ink – and they all worked.

If you’re curious about trying this technique yourself, it’s much simpler than it looks and very forgiving.
