𝐏𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬 is a voters’ education play that takes inspiration from Filomena Colendrino’s Bakit Babae ang Naghuhugas ng Pinggan, using humor to tackle the serious issue of choosing the right candidate in election season. The story begins when Aling Biring and ka-Nanding engage in a heated debate over whom to vote for, resulting in playful yet intense clashes as they try to convince their daughter Ruby about which barangay captain to support. As the argument grows, each character’s biases are challenged through a game. With clever wordplay on Pikon-Talo, the play explores the importance of wise decision-making in voting, reminding the audience that being “pikon” (irritable) can lead to a “talo” (loss).
