The Hemis Tse Chu held in June, commemorating the birth of the renowned Indian Guru Padmasambhava is one of the most famous monastic festivals of Ladakh.
The celebration, which spans two days, takes place on the tenth day of the fifth month in the Tibetan calendar, which corresponds to June or July in the Gregorian calendar. This year, the festival will take place on June 16 and 17.
