This recipe is perfect for busy mornings and kids’ lunch boxes!
Today we are making two types of dal dosa – a tomato dal dosa (red) and a spinach dal dosa (green) – using just a handful of ingredients.

Ingredients:
1 cup red dal (masoor dal) – washed & soaked
2 garlic cloves
1/4 cup rava (semolina)
1 tomato
1/2 tsp ajwain (vamu)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
Salt to taste
Water as needed
1 cup spinach (for green dosa)
Ghee or oil for cooking
Method:
1️⃣ Wash & soak dal for a few minutes.
2️⃣ Blend dal, garlic, rava, tomato, ajwain, jeera, salt, and water into a smooth batter.
3️⃣ Set aside half of the batter.
4️⃣ To the remaining batter, add spinach and blend again to get a green batter.
5️⃣ Heat a tawa, pour a ladle of batter, spread like dosa, and cook with ghee until crisp.
6️⃣ Repeat with both batters to make red and green dosas.
7️⃣ Serve hot with chutney – coconut chutney or peanut chutney works best.
