The race for the NPP’s National Chairmanship is turning into a defining moment for the party’s future. Asamoah-Boateng says the contest isn’t just about power, but about restoring discipline, rebuilding the grassroots, reconnecting with the youth, and healing bitter divisions that contributed to the party’s defeat in 2024. He believes the current leadership failed to unite the party, detached from the base, and lacked strategy, which hurt both the campaign and the party’s soul. He promises to engage Alan and other disillusioned members, rebuild trust, and strengthen structures to position NPP for a strong comeback in 2028. He admits governance challenges but insists the economy is improving under the current government. He warns Mahama to stay fair and says the NDC has failed in the fight against galamsey.
