About the speaker:
John McVay currently serves as president of the Oregon Conference. From 2006-2024, he served as president of Walla Walla University. Earlier, he served as a pastor in the U.S., a faculty member at Pacific Union College, and dean of the Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He holds a PhD in New Testament studies from the University of Sheffield (UK) and regularly writes on the Epistle to the Ephesians and the theme of the church in the New Testament. John and his wife Pam have two grown children, Marshall McVay and Macy Weir, both pastors.
