Wayne F.O.G - Ikoko Remix ft. Soft, Phanda Boyy

Inspired by the story of young lovers separated by distance, Ikoko was originally written in the early hours before dawn by Wayne F.O.G. Following the successful release of the original track being picked up by two major artists from Nigeria, a short conversation between the young creatives quickly led to this remix.

Motivated by relatable themes of young love and sudden heartbreak, Soft and Phanda Boyy swiftly crafted two passioned verses to complete this remix.  

Released with an accompanying music video, renowned film director Mex Films draws on the theme of coming back together not only in the depiction of our artists flying to Nigeria, but also in its celebration of lovers being reunited.

The music video captures the spirit of a young artists’ first major success, and leaving home for the first time, to work in Lagos’ bustling music industry. Not only do the visuals capture the pain of long-distance relationships, it also celebrates the triumph of coming back together.
