🚴‍♀️ Weintour mit Energie - Energietour und "OMV Erlebnisradweg": Wolkersdorf ⬌ Gänserndorf (ca. 65 km, hard)
The starting point of this 65 km bike tour is Wolkersdorf Castle in the Weinviertel region. From here, the “Wine Tour with Energy” leads you through gentle hills, past drilling towers, wind turbines and picturesque vineyards. At the “Franzosensprung” viewpoint you can enjoy stunning views before the OMV Energy Trail introduces you to the world of oil, gas and renewable energy.

In Auersthal, the historic “Wunderberg” wine cellar lane with more than 100 cellars invites you to take a break. In Matzen, the “Carpathian View” offers a wide panorama reaching as far as the Schneeberg mountain. The route continues through Prottes with its Oil & Gas Museum, and via Schönkirchen-Reyersdorf to the traditional wine cellar lanes in Groß-Engersdorf and Pillichsdorf, before returning to Wolkersdorf.

With 300 meters of elevation gain, the tour is sporty but thanks to many stops also enjoyable – a perfect mix of nature, culture and energy.
