In this video, I walk you through how to program the Pentair Fleck 5800 XTR2 and the newer Pentair Fleck 5800 XTRI water softener control valves. Both models offer nearly identical programming features—except the XTRI includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

🔒 All of these Fleck models use the same master password: 1201 to access advanced settings.

👆 My experience:

The touchscreen on the XTR2 wasn’t very responsive. Tapping through menus was tricky and often overshot the intended settings.

While I haven’t tested the WiFi/Bluetooth on the XTRI, I expect the screen to behave similarly.

If I had to choose again, I’d go with the Fleck 5800 SXT — it’s simpler and performs the same core functions without the frustration.
