This is extremely rare footage of Eminem performing at "True Masters", an underground rave in Detroit thrown by BTM Productions on 4/3/99 just after the release of "My Name Is", but before the release of Slim Shady LP that rocketed Eminem to super stardom. This was one of the largest parties to ever take place at Mack & Bellevue, one of the most popular rave venues in Detroit around that time. The building has since burned down.
This footage was acquired by Abstrakt Lighting, who providing lighting to almost every rave in Detroit for several years throughout the 90's all the way up to the end of the rave scene in 2001. The video was ripped from Livestream and uploaded to YouTube to make it easier for people to view, and in case Livestream goes out of business.
On a personal note I wasn't a huge fan of hip-hop at raves back then, but I was right in front of the stage for this and it was amazing. It was definitely a big highlight of my life. The rest of the lineup (Magic Mike vs DJ Rectangle turntablism set with 4 turntables and 2 mixers, Frankie Bones, Danny The Wildchild, J-Money, etc.) was also amazing and this was one of my favorite parties of all time. Mad props to Abstrakt for filming this.
