Su Dongpo (1037-1101), a literary magnate in the Song Dynasty, had a special bond with Changzhou City. He visited Changzhou 14 times in his life and spent his remaining years till death in the city. Also, Changzhou cuisine Dongpo's braised pork is named after him because Su Dongpo highly praised the dish and made it popular in the Jiangnan area.
宋代大文豪苏东坡与常州有着不解之缘,曾14次到常州,并在常州终老。而一道东坡肉正是由苏东坡推崇,成为江南地区最为流行的美食。
