ABSTRACT
The soul of India lives in its villages, nearly 60 percent of the population lives in villages. Due to the extreme urban centric development the rural is left in a deprived state with lack of basic amenities. The project aims to study and investigate the role of architecture, in assisting the rural communities to create a sustainable development, keeping the morality of rural architecture intact. The studies are done in order to understand the projects and architecture interventions that will empower the rural areas. The project is done at a cluster level which will consist of 8-10 villages. A brief study of the entire region and analysis is carried out to understand the needs of people. Also, the rural architecture is explored and there is an effort made to revive the traditional building materials and methods with responding to the present context of modern architecture.

The design program includes both rural development and enhancing social life of villages. Hence, the RURAL HUB which is combined campus for a cluster of villages to revive economy and the social life. The study and program formulation can be a template for rural development which includes socio-economic and environmental developmental of rural
areas and can be replicated in other villages.
