Join us for the 2025 Human Rights Day luncheon organized by the Monterey Bay Chapter of the United Nations Association of the USA and the Bahá'í Faith Communities of Monterey County.
We will celebrate the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and honor the recipients of the 2025 Bahá'í Human Rights Awards: JT Mason and Yvonne Thomas.
Yvonne Thomas- for the Promotion of Equity and Justice: Yvonne is a leader for the Hospice Giving Foundation, Multi-Cultural Community Council, Seaside Community Safety Advisory Commission, Juvenile Justice Commission, Salvation Army, and NAACP. She's a small business owner providing closed captioning for the hard of hearing.
JT Mason- for the Empowerment of Women and Service to Humanity: From her childhood days walking precincts with her mom to decades fighting for gay rights and racial justice, JT has been causing Good Trouble her whole life. Raised with Unitarian values, JT works to build the beloved community.
