Reproduction of an 18th Century Manuscript Binding

A film by Flavio Marzo and Rolf Killius for the Qatar Digital Library.

After a brief introduction this video shows step by step the realisation of a copy of an 18th century Arabic manuscript. Commentary will guide the audience through the different stages of the historical reconstruction of a peculiar Islamic Style binding from the British Library collection.
