Taking apart the differential is really easy. The important part for me was marking the alignment of all parts prior to disassembly. I went a little overboard when marking because I didn't clean off much of the gear oil and thought there was a high probability of the marks being rubbed off. The Ryobi 1/2" Impact Wrench was a huge help, as I didn't have to break the bolts free with a wrench and hammer; the shock of the Impact turning on was enough to get them loose.
