Meet Michele Bruno | Accessibility Team Lead

More than 35 years after the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, digital accessibility is even more critical to all New Yorkers using our online services. I’m here to raise awareness and help move the dial to create a better user experience for all.

Hi, I’m Michele Bruno and I’m the ITS Digital Accessibility Team Lead.

Our team is responsible for building sustainable accessibility practices, as well as offering support and guidance to help ITS Deputy Commissioners for Technology and their client agencies understand their role in making sure public services are easily usable by everyone.

We’re a new and growing team, making digital accessibility intentionally happen one step at a timem since we know meeting compliance doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a consistent and continuous process that starts with raising awareness, so I’m so thankful to be able to share this message.
