Wood turning a wand from purpleheart wood. I use a little bit of flame in this video as well, for a magic like result.
This wand also seconds as a scepter. I did some resin casting and made a 20 sided die to use as the gemstone to mount on the handle.
I used an oval skew chisel for the entire turn... I don't do a lot of "between the centers" work on my lathe, so this was good practice.
