How To Grow Rice/Paddy In Container

Rice Is The Edible Starchy Cereal Grain Which Is Consumed By Large Part Of The Human World Population. It Is Easy To Grow. You Can Easily Grow In Ground Or Container.

How To Grow Rice In Container:

1. Buy Good Quality Rice Seeds From Market. Take One Bowl Or Glass And Fill 3/4th With Water. Put Rice Seeds In It And Cover With Cotton Cloth. Next Day Drain Water And Fill Again With Water But This Time Put Little Water Just To Moist The Seeds. Cover With Cotton Cloth And Put Glass On Tray. Cloth Side Should Be Down. Change Water Daily And Do The Same Process Untill Seeds Sprouts. You Can Directly Plant The Seeds But This Process Will Help To Sprouts Your Rice Seeds Fast.

2. When Your Rice Seeds Sprouts You Can Plant Them In Container. Container Size Should Be 16 Inch Wide And Ten Inch Deep For Sowing Eight Seeds Of Rice. Container Should Have No Drainage Hole .Rice Required Continues Water So Make Sure Your Pot Should Not Have Any Drainage Hole.

3. For Potting Mix Use One Part Soil, Half Sand, Half Compost Mix.

4. Fill Pot With Potting Mix. Keep Two To Three Inch Gap For Water.

5. Plant Seedlings Three Inch Apart From Each Other.

6. Fill With Water. Water Should Always Remain On Top Of The Potting Mix. Rice Likes To Grow In Flooded Situation.

7. Put Pot In Sunlight But If Sunlight Is Too Much Keep Pot In A Area Where They Don't Received Afternoon Sunlight.

8. Fertilize Monthly With Organic Compost.

9. Rice Plant Don't Need Any Extra Care. Rice Plant Only Need Water And Compost And Sunlight. Follow This And You Will Get Rice Spike In Your Rice Plant.

10. Harvest When Rice Matured (When Rice Brown In Color)
