Welcome back, Ghost Hunters. We’ve got some news for you.
Today, we’re excited to announce details and the release date for Cursed Hollow, Phasmophobia’s first event for 2025. The event will be live for all players, across all platforms on April 17th, 2025. Stay tuned to our social channels and the Phasmophobia Discord server for exact release timings.
This next Community Event brings with it a host of improvements based on feedback we received throughout Crimson Eye and Winter’s Jest in 2024, as well as some quality of life changes for events going forward. Full patch notes will be available at launch, but below we’ll dive in to a few details to prepare you for your hunts next week.
We’re excited for players to experience Cursed Hollow and we’ll continue to monitor feedback to help improve our events throughout 2025 and beyond.
Map Rotation: Each day, we’ll rotate the active event maps with a new selection. Meaning you’ll get to experience a variety of different themed maps throughout the event.
Maps included: 13 Willow Street, Camp Woodwind, 6 Tanglewood Drive, Grafton Farmhouse, 10 Ridgeview Court, 42 Edgefield Road, Point Hope, Bleasdale Farmhouse and Maple Lodge Campsite.
Event Duration: Based on feedback, we’ve decided to reduce the duration of our Community Events. Each event will now run for roughly 3 weeks instead of being a month long. Exact timings for events will accompany their respective patch notes.
Community and Personal Rewards: As detailed above, Community Events will now split their rewards in to two categories
Auto-Claim: After each challenge is completed by the community, the respective rewards will be awarded to players automatically when logging in after a goal has been reached.
Gameplay Modifiers: Similar to Crimson Eye, Cursed Hollow brings various gameplay modifiers that can occur during investigations. These can be triggered by interacting with the Forest Spirit Minion totems found throughout the maps.

About this game -
Phasmophobia is a paranormal horror game by British indie game studio Kinetic Games. The game became available in early access for Microsoft Windows with virtual reality support in September 2020
Horror games do not scare me. There are so many that fit under that umbrella, from Resident Evil to Amnesia, and most hit familiar beats: a few good jump scares, the dread of being pursued, nasty monsters and creepy sound effects. I enjoy all of these experiences, but even when things get intense I'm never really afraid.
Phasmophobia is a game that gets into your head. When you're playing the real world doesn't exist. When you stop, some aspect has seeped into reality. This game has left myself and companions not so much stunned as scrambled, jacked on adrenaline and chatting for hours afterwards about what just happened.
