HOW WE CELEBRATED GANESH CHATURTHI IN OXFORD! | INDIAN STUDENT IN ENGLAND | Warad Bhat

Ganesh Chaturthi is a famous Hindu festival, that is celebrated largely in the state of Maharashtra. As Rohan rightly put it in the vlog, this festival is all about coming together for a day, 5 days or 10 days and just having good vibes all around.

The 5 days that we had Bappa at home, were full of positivity and happiness and overall it was a really nice experience doing this first time on our own, without the presence of our families.
Everyone's faces were visibly low on the day of visarjan, or the last day of the festival. I used to get this feeling as a child, saying bye to a guest(not really bye because, he is with us when we need him) who has blessed us with their presence and good vibes throughout the 5 days.

The Meaning of Ganesha:
Gan means group. The universe is a group of atoms and different energies. This universe would be in chaos if there was no supreme law governing these diverse groups of entities.
The Lord of all these groups of atoms and energies is Ganesha.
He is the supreme consciousness that pervades all and brings order in this universe.

The festival celebrates Ganesha as the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence and is observed throughout India, especially in the states such as Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Goa.
