The Seaway 25 is one of the most iconic small trailable racing yachts in Australia with over 70 produced over the years. Designed by the late great Doug Peterson to a design brief provided by World Half Ton Champion and Seaway builder Tom Stephenson it was a competitive boat in IOR , JOG, Trailable Racing and Club Racing. It had four versions over the years.
Mark 1 - Original design with lift keel and cassette rudder
Mark 2 - Two cabin windows instead of one.
Elite - Bigger Cabin top, new cockpit, mid hull window, transom hung rudder
787 - Bigger cabin still - more cruising oriented. Built in Qld
There were also fixed keel versions of all the models in limited quantities.
Correction - in the audio I mention Dr Stangelove was owned by Peter Strange, it is actually David Strange who campaigned the boat successfully out of Metung and St.Kilda.
