This video details how to access and use the sensor input display mode on most Hondas with automatic climate control, demonstrated on a 2014 Civic Hybrid. If you're diagnosing a possible bad sensor and want to see its output, this is how you do it. If you suspect your A/C is under-performing and want to monitor the evaporator and vent temperatures, this is a good way to do that without having to buy a thermometer.
The procedure shown should be fairly universal among Hondas, but the sensor number table is valid only for the 9th generation Civic. Other tables are similar, but not exact.
Unfortunately, there is not a lot of documentation on this feature outside of the shop manuals. Use at your own risk!
