This video shows the newly designed Lake County, IL Sheriff's Office marked and slicktop 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV (Police Pursuit Vehicle), designated as squad car #635.
Although final plans have not been made, the Lake County Sheriff's Office is reportedly transitioning to a full Chevy Tahoe PPV fleet featuring the new design.
The new design is a slight departure from the old design, featuring simpler and bolder lettering and removing the old white stripe below the word "SHERIFF."
The words "LAKE COUNTY" are now displayed in black text rather than white text on the old design.
The majority of the sheriff's office's current fleet consists of Ford Police Interceptor Utilities (FPIU).
In the video clip, Squad #635 was clearing off of a crash investigation scene on IL-173 east of US-41 in Wadsworth, IL on 10/03/25.
In the photos, the squad car was seen at a house fire scene in the 37500 block of Columbus Avenue in Venetian Village, IL on 09/12/25.
