Groote Eylandt is the largest island in the Gulf of Carpentaria, northeastern Australia. It is the homeland of the Anindilyakwa people. ALNF launched a 3-year Early Childhood Language & Literacy program on Groote and Bickerton Islands in 2010 to support the community in preparing their young children for success in the schooling years. These are the voices of the community members. This is a DEEWR funded project.
