Saying Goodbye To Our Last Lotus Exige!

After more than 10 years of service, we say goodbye to the last Lotus Exige of the RSR fleet. These cars originally came to 'replace' the ageing fleet of Alfa 75s and while they provided a ton more performance they still stayed completely true to the analog spirit that was very important for our Driving Academy programs. As Ron says, these are cars that required a real driver behind the steering wheel but if you understood how they work you'd be rewarded with a beautiful balanced chassis that would embarrass cars with double the power.
It should have been no surprise that they were an instant favourite. Enthusiasts from all over the world used them for everything from Road Tours to Trackdays and of course countless laps on Nordschleife during Touristenfahrten. Slowly the small Lotuses were phased out by many more capable options finding their way to the RSR fleet year after year. We might be saying goodbye to the last one today but the Lotus Exige will always have a place in our hearts!
