Damaged Oil/Holes/fill/clean/retouch

This oil painting was brought to me a few months ago. It was very damaged with missing canvas. It was a very difficult piece to complete and at the end it was truly an amazing transformation. Watching this video will give you a better ideas how to replace missing canvas in an old damage oil painting. Art restoration can be very rewarding once the cleaning takes place. There are many different steps I took in this video, I am hoping you will get a better idea of what was done for the process.
The cleaning solvents and replacement of canvas with patching linen was the main focus. The steps taken to rebuild those two large areas were completed with success.
