Grow Speke: More Than A Garden

Ever wonder what happens when a community comes together to create something truly special? Welcome to Grow Speke, a vibrant community garden right at the heart of South Liverpool. It's a place where green thumbs and a friendly atmosphere grow side-by-side!

Meet Lesley:
In this video, you'll get to know Lesley, one of our incredible regular volunteers. Her passion for gardening and her dedication to protecting the local environment are truly inspiring. Lesley believes her love for gardening came from her dad and even though she was a little nervous about getting involved at first, she quickly felt right at home. That's because Grow Speke has a fantastic open-door policy, warmly welcoming everyone to join our growing community.

A Green Oasis with Something for Everyone
Grow Speke isn't just about beautiful plants and amazing fresh produce, it's a bustling hub of activity. We've got two polytunnels and tons of raised beds overflowing with fresh, healthy produce, all of which we share with the local community. But that's not all! You'll also find a fruit orchard, an outdoor gym, a tranquil pond, an apiary and bug hotels – all helping to create a rich and diverse ecosystem.

Beyond the Garden Gates: Community and Connection
While gardening sessions are definitely a highlight, Grow Speke offers so much more. We host relaxed coffee catch-ups, calming meditation sessions, creative art and crafts classes and regular outdoor community events. It's a place to connect, learn and grow together.
