Silverleaves, a peaceful retreat on Phillip Island, driving tour

Silverleaves is very small a township on Phillip Island on the eastern border of Cowes. The town gets it's name from the leaves of the "Coast Banksia" trees that are abundant in the area.

Compared to Cowes, and other regions of Phillip Island, Silverleaves is a much quieter area to cater for those who like to be away from the main hustle and bustle. That said, the centre of Cowes is a mere 5 minute drive away.

Originally scrubby sand dunes, the area was developed in the 1950s. However a large part of the area remains as wetlands, beaches and mangrove reserves.

If you enjoy quiet, and also enjoy nature, Silverleaves may be your Phillip Island destination.
