The Getty Center Los Angeles | Art Collection

The Getty Center in Los Angeles stands as one of the premier cultural destinations in the United States. Opened in 1997 and part of the Getty Trust, the museum showcases an impressive collection of European paintings, drawings, sculptures, decorative arts, and photography. Renowned for its stunning modern architecture by Richard Meier, the center is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and offers breathtaking views of the city.

Unfortunately, the photography exhibition was closed during my August 2024 visit.

For future visitors, I recommend reserving free tickets in advance and arriving early to avoid crowded parking. After parking, enjoy the scenic tram ride to the museum.
