Increased horsepower, safety, blade choice, and dust collection are all demonstrated in this video. This 1948 Delta band saw is now able to cut through anything I can throw at it. I couldn't find much info on the 1 HP Dayton motor but it looks to be from the 60's or 70's and I picked it up at the farm auction for $15. All it needed was a new cord so that was a major score!
