In Saru, Ghana, firewood is needed every day for cooking, while the production of charcoal is a nationwide enterprise that offers Saru residents a secondary income source. Women are mostly responsible for firewood collection and charcoal production. This video follows one Saru woman, Comfort Sokogir, through the typical domestic tasks of cooking and firewood collection.
