Historic Story - 1930 Lagonda 2L Supercharged Prototype

This is the very first 2L supercharged Lagonda, considered as the works prototype car, used for all Lagonda promotion and publicity in period.

A classic example of racing improving the breed, the 'low chassis' 2-litre possessed superior road handling courtesy of its lower centre of gravity.

The 'blower' is mounted vertically in front of the engine, Lagonda upgraded the engine with a stronger crankshaft, while a 3-litre type rear axle beefed up the transmission making the car capable of 90mph.

This particular car also boasts an HCS 2.4 litre conversion.
Giving it a very healthy performance increase close to that of its bigger brother the 4.5 litre Meadows.

The car on offer is without doubt the best driving 2 Litre Lagonda of any type that we've driven. It also has a very significant and important Lagonda history.
A fantastic and highly recommended car in fabulous condition for any pre-war motoring enthusiasts.
