Alvin says… Mel Collins plays a great sax solo and Ian Wallace plays terrific drums on this song that was another bonus track on ‘In Flight.’ It has some of the best drumming I’ve ever heard. Ian could play amazing stuff but not get in the way. Sometimes you get a drummer who can play a great solo but somehow takes over the whole band. Ian played with great sympathy but you’d say ‘Wow, where did that come from?’ He had a photographic memory and always knew where the choruses ended. We’d all turn round to Ian to find out where we were in the tune. I remember once saying to him ‘What key are we in?’ And he shouted back ‘You’re asking me what key it’s in and I’m the drummer? It’s in G!’
