This month, I had some left over red wine and decided to make a developer out of it. I adapted the mint tea developer to see if it would work, and it worked very well. To replicate this, you will need:
Developing Tank
Jugs
Somewhere to spool your film in complete darkness
Scales
Materials
HP5 Film (Used in camera)
Red Wine
Soda Crystals
Vitamin-C Powder or Fizzy Vitamin-C tablets
Fixative.
Here is the recipe below...
1. Boil 300ml Water
2. Add 40g of soda crystals and dissolve completely.
3. Add 10g of vitamin-c powder
4. Add 150ml of wine.
5. Top up water to 600ml
6. Stand Overnight
7. Your developer is ready - stand develop / leave in the tank for 30 minutes.
8. Wash for 2 minutes
9. Add fixer
10. Wash on low tap setting for 20 minutes.
11. Hang up to dry!
12. Scan when dry.
