Repair the outdoor temp sensor display on Mercedes Benz W126 W124

Is your outside temp display going crazy? Is the temp value going up and down? Does it occasionally not display anything? Resoldering the circuit board usually does the trick. Here is how you can fix the display. The display used in this example had been displaying erratically and sometimes would not come on at all.
Note: Under no circumstances unscrew the front screws - much like it happened to me in this video the LCD screen gets damaged. A viewer pointed out that replacement LCD screen may be replaced with a new one. Search for "Ata Display for Mercedes E W124 outside Temperature Indicator Tacho 10-POLIG" on Ebay. The 10 pin one is for black with white housing (like the one in this video). The 6 pin goes with all black housings.
