Trivia: the Sydney Opera House main stage is actually quite small. With this work, Graeme Murphy decided to enlarge it to its absolute maximum, stripping the stage of everything and use the rawness of the deep space, including machinery and lighting, to create a striking industrial look with moveable scaffolding structures from which the musicians performed (all of this is revealed after the first title section, which occurs in front of the fire curtain); and within this great expanse reveal, Graeme daringly makes us look at two hands…
