From the story’s I heard from the men who worked along side Roy in his life, he seemed to have a reputation of people immediately assuming he wouldn’t do something only to be proven wrong when he showed up and delivered.

As much as I pride myself in trying to be an encouragement to others to start there travel and adventure I honestly never expected Roy to be the person to actually do it. Many people talk about how they want to travel but few ever allow themselves the opportunity to challenge themselves on the open road. Roy was a huge part of my early traveling days and one of the few people who has helped turn a wrench on Bonita (my Jeep YJ) to keep her on the road.

Is currently working to start “The Roy Ray Mealer Legacy Foundation” a nonprofit to help family’s fighting cancer. The process is long and tedious so there isn’t an official website at this time.
